Celebrating Former Department Chair Doug Reeve

easleThe ChemE Department has a long tradition of honouring past Department Chairs with portrait paintings in our gallery, located in the lobby of the Wallberg Building.

On Wednesday, December 10, faculty members, alumni and friends gathered for the unveiling of the newest addition to the ChemE portrait gallery. Professor Doug Reeve served as ChemE Chair from 2001 to 2011 and led the Department through a decade of growth that included the creation of SOCAAR and BioZone, significant curriculum and teaching renewal, and major renovations of the Wallberg Building.

Professor Reeve's portrait was painted by Greg Furmancyck and made possible by generous support from the Pulp & Paper Centre, Chemical Engineering Research Consultants Ltd. (CERCL) and the Department of Chemical Engineering & Applied Chemistry.
