Annoucements
Remembering our Skule heros
This Remembrance Day we are sharing the story of the murals in the rafters at Gull Lake Survey Camp, which convey a little insight into the experience of U of T Engineering students during periods of war. Specifically, members of the class of 4T3 who chose to complete their education during the Second World War. Click here to view the mural and read the full story.
Engineering Alumni Association Awards recognize outstanding alumni
The awards, which celebrate alumni for their outstanding contributions to the Skule community as well as their remarkable career achievements, were presented at the Great Hall at Hart House on November 3. Nine alumni were recognized including Ali Khademhosseini (ChemE 9T9) who was elected into the Hall of Distinction and David Colcleugh (ChemE 5T9, MASc 6T0, PhD 6T2) who won the Engineering Alumni Medal, the highest honour given out by the Engineering Alumni Association. Click here for the full story and to view photos.
Engaging alumni while travelling
The Faculty's Alumni Office would like to develop better opportunities for our alumni living abroad to connect with our professors. To achieve this, the Alumni Office would like to start tracking the travels of our professors to help setup potential alumni meetings. If you are a professor interested in meeting with alumni while travelling, please send your travel destintations (along with the duration of your stays) to jennifer.hsu@utoronto.ca.
New U of T Portal
As you may know, U of T is in the midst of renewing our Learning Management System (LMS). Our current LMS is Blackboard/Portal. Next week, there are a variety of opportunities for students, staff, and faculty to test out the potential new systems and provide their feedback. If you are interested in being a tester, click here for more details. Please encourage your students to participate.
