$4.9 Million for Lighter, Greener Cars
A University of Toronto research team - consisting of several members from our ChemE community - has won $2,513,500 from Automotive Partnership Canada (APC) to work with Ford Motor Company to develop a novel new material for car parts using renewable resources extracted from wood pulp. Together with financial and in-kind contributions from Ford and U of T, the project’s total value is $4,981,500. Read more.
ChemE Prof Named U of T's Hotshot Prof
Every year the Globe and Mail's Canandian University Report names one professor from each Canadian university as a Hotshot Prof. This year, that honour for U of T goes to ChemE Professor Yu-Ling Cheng. Read more.
ChemE Members Win $1,000 ISE Prize
The Institute for Sustainable Energy (ISE) recently award the project, Algal Biofilm Growth Parameters and Reactor Systems for the Production of Biofuels and Biochemicals, with a $1,000 prize. Read more.

WHMIS Online Course
