Sepcial Lecture on Sept 23

On Wednesday, September 23 from 2-3pm in WB215, UB Distinguished Professor Paschalis Alexandridis from the University at Buffalo - The State University of New York will present Soft Materials and Complex Fluids via Block Copolymer Self-Assembly: From (Nano) Structure to Function to Applications.

Engineering Entrepreneurship Series on Sept 24

Keith Thomas is a proven entrepreneur and was most recently CEO of Vector Innovations. Thomas will be discussing his career journey as part of ECE's Engineering Entrepreneurship Series on Thursday, September 24 from 5-6pm in room 1200 of the Bahen Centre. The talk is followed by an informal dinner in SF560. No registration is required for the talk but if you wish to attend the dinner, click here to register.

SOCAAR Seminar Series on Sept 30

On Wednesday, September 30 from 3-4pm in WB407, CivE Professor Marianne Hatzopoulou will present Investigating the Role of Transportation Models in Epidemiologic Studies of Traffic Related Air Pollution and Health Effects.

Engineering Education: LLE (Oct 7) and Special Workshop (Oct 8)

On Wednesday, October 7 from 12:30-2pm in WB116, Professor Milo Koretsky from Oregon State University will deliver his LLE presentation, Engineering Education – What’s in Store for the Next 100 Years, followed by a meet-and-greet in WB215. If you would like to meet Professor Koretsky, email will.cluett@utoronto.ca by Wednesday, September 30.

On Thursday, October 8 from 10am to12pm in WB407, Professor Koretsky will give a special engineering education workshop. During the workshop, he'll provide educational methods and tools for educators to incorporate into their classrooms that will encourage students to think deeply about the central concepts in core chemical engineering courses. For the workshop's full abstract, click here. Lunch will be provided from 12-1pm. To rsvp, email will.cluett@utoronto.ca by Wednesday, September 30. Workshop attendees are required to bring with them either a laptop or tablet.
