Peter Zandstra Named Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada

ZandstraCongratulations to Peter Zandstra (IBBME), who has been elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada. Professor Zandstra is cross-appointed to the Department of Chemical Engineering & Applied Chemistry, and is a pioneer in stem cell bioengineering who holds the Canada Research Chair in Stem Cell Bioengineering. His research focuses on tissue regeneration for therapeutic use, and the differentiation of stem cells into functional blood, cardiac and pancratic tissues.
