	Announcements Welcome Branden Wesseling This week Branden Wesseling joined our Department as our new Communications Officer & External Relations Liaison, a role previously held by Andrew Connolly who has accepted a teaching position at UBC (congratulations to Andrew). Branden holds a Masters in English Literature from Lakehead University and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Corporate Communications from Confederation College. Most recently, he worked in communications, not-for-profit grants and awards, and in academic policy development at George Brown College. Branden is excited to join our team and begin assisting with LLE, award nominations, and much more. Acting Chair Milica Radisic will serve as Acting Chair from Monday, August 14 to Friday, August 25 (inclusive)		August 3, 2017 Volume 34, Issue 25
