Biomaterials Offer a Robust Platform for Stem Cells

One of the challenges facing stem cell researchers is how to ensure that cells delivered to patients don’t die after transplantation to the point of care.

At a session of the annual ISSCR in Boston yesterday, Professor Molly Shoichet of the University of Toronto presented some findings from her lab’s latest research. Read more.

As of Tuesday, June 4, My Research – Applications (MRA) is live for our Faculty. This system is designed for the electronic submission and approval of the RIS Application. Please note that all new applications should use this new system and the paper versions of the Blue Form will no longer be supported. Also, the online submission of the Blue Form involves the online submission of supporting documents (e.g. funding application, etc.). Please acquaint yourself with this new system in preparation for your future applications.

Convocation Reminder!

This is just a reminder that Convocation is this Wednesday, June 19. If you registered for our lunch, please note that it will start at 11am in the Sir Howard Ferguson Dining Hall located at 75 St. George Street. For faculty and staff who registered for the academic procession, we will be gathering in the lobby of Simcoe Hall for our group photo at approximately 2pm.

March with Engineering Students at Pride Toronto 2013

The students of our LGBTQ & Allies in Science and Engineering (LGBTQase) club are extending a special invitation this year to faculty and staff to join them at the Annual Pride Parade at Pride Toronto 2013.
