ChemE students to participate in finals for CSA Academic Challenge

Xin Huang and James Yin, two fourth-year ChemE students, are members of a U of T student team who have been invited to participate as finalists in the 2019 CSA Academic Challenge. The competition engages students in the world of standards, as well as highlights the benefits, challenges and opportunities of their application in the workplace and in everyday life. The U of T team – supported by Professors Graeme Norval and Ariel Chan – will compete against two other teams at the CSA Annual Conference in Ottawa running from June 17-21. Best of luck to Xin, James and the rest of their team!

HECMET Training on Mon, May 27

On Monday, May 27 from 10am to 12pm in WB215, ChemE is hosting training for summer students and other lab users in the use of the new digitized chemical inventory, HECMET. If you or members from your group are interested in participating, email alexander.dean@utoronto.ca by 5pm TODAY!

Mental Health Carousel on Tue, Jun 4

GECoS is hosting a Mental Health Carousel on Tuesday, June 4 from 5:45-8pm in GB202. Facilitators from various campus organizations will lead open discussions on: research/coursework challenges; mental illness; self image and imposter syndrome; and interpersonal relationships.   • Summer Intramural - Softball & Ultimate Frisbee: Depending on numbers, CEGSA will have recreational Softball AND Ultimate Frisbee Intramural Teams this summer, no experience required! The seasons run from June to August with one game per week. $10 to play on one or both teams, we will vote on which day of the week each team plays. To sign-up for Softball, click here.
